Short answer

Verify who is contacting you and what they are offering. An official feedback channel, a lawyer acting under an engagement and a buyer offering to purchase a claim have different roles. Do not provide passwords, 2FA codes or recovery phrases to someone promising to release your BitMart balance.

Start from a known official source

Open the feedback portal from BitMart’s own announcement. BitMart warns about impersonators claiming to offer feedback, claims or asset-recovery channels on its behalf. A logo, search advertisement or group message does not authenticate a sender.

Ask what the money or signature does

If someone requests an “unlock tax”, deposit or verification payment, ask for the identified recipient, written basis and terms before acting. A demand to move crypto urgently to an unknown wallet is a reason to stop and verify, not proof of a legitimate requirement.

A claim purchase should identify the rights being bought and the amount paid to you. A representation agreement should identify who acts for you and their fees. Do not treat those as the same service.

Limit what you share initially

Use a brief description and a list of available records. Keep account passwords, seed phrases and authentication codes private. Do not sign unexplained wallet transactions to “verify a claim”.

For later documents, establish the recipient, purpose, retention terms and channel. Redact irrelevant third-party data in copies while keeping originals securely.

If you already shared something

Preserve the messages, URLs, addresses and transaction records. Use the relevant provider’s official account-security or support channel to report the issue and assess the next steps. Do not send more money solely because the first payment allegedly needs to be released.

BitMart Return buys eligible claims under separate terms; it is not BitMart’s official recovery desk and cannot guarantee recovery or unlock an account.
